The Southwest Shiawassee Emergency Services Alliance (S.S.E.S.A.) is a dynamic, emergency services provider. It is committed to delivering high-quality Fire, and EMS services. S.S.E.S.A. serves the communities of Antrim Township (Fire & E.M.S.), Bennington Township (Fire & E.M.S.), Burns Township (E.M.S.), Durand City (E.M.S.), Perry City (Fire & E.M.S.), Perry Township (Fire & E.M.S.), Morrice Village (Fire & E.M.S.), and Vernon Township (E.M.S). Operating from three strategically located stations, our organization is built on a foundation of integrity, teamwork, and community trust.

Full Time Employee Benefits

Full Time Employees will be part of I.A.F.F. Local 5360 and receive the following benefits under our current contract.

* M.E.R.S. 20 and out defined benefit pension

* Competitive Wages – F.F. Medic starts at $59,726.52 annually based on regular work schedule of 9 days per month average

* Medical, Optical and Dental Insurance, starting day one

* Sick Pay – Starting with 120 hours upon hire

* Holiday Pay – 9 holidays per year paid at double time if worked

* Annual Bonus – Based on annual wages

*Low call volume – 6.6 calls average per day between 3 Stations

* No system status deployments, dedicated stations with living, sleeping area
